OK....

the time is apon us again to be organising a massive cruise, with all the bells and whistles...

As is the format with all Megacruises we will be expecting 200+ cars minimum, and this time we will be inviting all the clubs of SA to join in...

Toyota Car Club, PSi, EVO/GSR, SupraSA, WRXSA, SArotary, CruisingSA, etc.

The format will be a nice relaxing social day with a sunday drive through the hills, and then stopping in Mount Barker for a show and shine style event for a couple of hours with BBQ lunch - after that there will be a choice of taking the freeway back, or a second route through some more twisty roads.

Thanks to Mark and Julie 'the olds' , rebeccajane and Mike from Doyle Crash for helping organise and prepare so far.

Pricing at the moment is expected to be $5 for a map, which will include a raffle ticket.
Extra sausages and raffle tickets can be purchased on the day for $2.

ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE GOING TOWARDS THE YOUTH SUICIDE AWARENESS CHARITY.

We are currently chasing some of the top workshops and stores from around adelaide and like the last mega cruise we will be pulling together some crazy prizes to be won.

As with all megacruises planned through this website, hoon activity will NOT be tolerated.

Any burnouts, drift, dangerous driving, or generally stupid behavior will immediately result in your plate numbers being handed to authorities. We have never had a problem with this in the past, so lets keep up the good attitude!

Police WILL be notified and present throughout the day, and we plan to have media present so lets set the example!

People worried about defects : Obviously nothing is guarenteed, but we have not had a problem with this at any of the megacruises prior, since it is a well planned large scale event that we have discussed with the authorities prior to, they are not out to "GET US" - i am hoping if anything they can help escort us out of the traffic through the city!.

cops are rubbing their hands together. it will be defect heaven!
dont u remember the charity cruise last year where the cops were there to "escort us" but ended up boxing ervyone in and slapping defects on pretty much everything.
it is for a good cause, and would be good. but its not worht the chance of being defected.

I would be tempted to participate but if the coppers see my car, they would have a field day.

As CORDI4 explained, even if you behave in a sensible manner, you are only reducing the chance of being defected. Being on your 'P's Robbo, as you are, is only going to make matters worse.

It WILL be only a matter of time. Take it from experience. i hope your not going to be foolish by finding out the hard way. Good luck.

my cars in built mode so it make no difference to me but I agree with cordi4. I pussied my car around with a 1.8 IC *DEFECT* fitted a Dash to my AC with IC *DEFECT* Now building my AB with Dash IC and what do i expect? some dickhead pig filling his quota book with....yes *DEFECT* Luckily i have a mate working at Netley and knew one of them so it was destroyed before lodging. Trust me, you'll find it hard seeing it on paper, but SA Police run on a Quota system!

mate, im just trying to give u a heads up.
your still on ya P's right? well if you are then that plate is a massive beacon that every cop can see. im not wishing u to get defected but it will happen. its a given. and when u do get done goodluck getting that car thorugh regency.
thats why im getting mine engineered for engine, rims, emissions. atleast if i do get done again ill only have to swap my suspension package over.
dont get offensive, im just sharing my experience and hoping youll learn from it before u get done.

ummm....exactly what on your car has been approved? i wouldnt go relying on that too much.
i know its just effort and time but why increase your chances? and to get a vr4 cordia through regency is a lot of effort and time....

stop arguing children. I think hid car is registered with the 4g63. It does happen. Just remember, the engine mount needs engineering....no certificate means a sticker. But how many coppers check that far? so long as the engine number matches, you're 90% safe.

I've never had a defect.......maybe I'm just lucky..

maybe your old enough for the cops to take one look at you and assume you've done the right thing? as opposed to anyone under 25 (30 even?) whereby we're guilty 'til proven innocent?

would that be a fair call, or too much a generalisation?
