its been running round the streets for the past 3 weeks :D runnig well too. almost finished the AC GSR immaculate interior swap, just gotta cut small holes in the fornt trims for my pods, swapped my ugly ass AA mirrors for some AB/AC. gotta figure out some half decent cooler piping. get some bonnet clearance as my belt is very slightly touching the bonnet  spaced about 8mm already! alternator shat itslef, had to get $600 worth of tyres...so yeah funds are on hold.
got a dyno run with SHY motorsport in a couple of weeks.

yeah the white one. by cutting into the bonnet supports the bonnets integrity is reduced which makes it illegal. also why when fitting a scoop your not allowed to alter the bonnets integrity.
im out most weekends around town, windy point, the bay, hills etc etc. with a few clubs so always some interesting cruises.

anyone interested in a dyno day with Shy motorsport?
http://www.shymotorsport.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=190

pretty good price and would be good to see some cordia guys representing.

Your car: Evolution VI GSR
Cutting the bonnet structure certainly is illegal. I wouldn't worry too much Jon, the underbonnet heatsheild matting covers that nicely :) . I have been through regency a few times and haven't had a problem in 6 years.

well due toa poorly designed lh mount the timing belt scrubs very slightly on the bonnet support even being spaced.
nah usually on my own or with some mates cars aswell. but lately ive been crusing around with "shy motorsport."
i am a member of cruising sa but they are all immature little riced lancers and the like. lots of bitching too.
david/grumbly is gonna make me a new mount and maybe some other bits and pieces
then my heat shield can go back in.
and as a note robbo....its not a vr4, its an RVR. better intake manifold and throttle body, evo cams, different crank, evo afm :P i think me and u would be a good run before we start modding them too much. although vr4's do have a much better turbo.

Hate to burst your bubble there, but "Evo Cam" are exactly the same as VR4 cams.

The only thing better about the RVR engine would be the Evo AFM, if it uses one.

completely different intake setup mate. inlet manifold, plenum and throttle body are all bigger than the vr4. the crank is completely different being a 7 bolt. there are lots of differences. water pump, tensioner etc.

If there the same on the RVR as the EVO, then the T/B, etc are all actually smaller than a VR$ setup.

I asked on the VR4 forums about advantages of doing a changeover for my VR4 Cordia when I had one, and that's what I got told by everyone anyhow....??

Oh yep, sorry, you're completely right about the Throttle body elbow - good eye there!! 8)

I bought a larger T/B Elbow, but I don't know if Robbo ever fitted it.

Would have been the very next thing I'd have done next if I'd kept the car

Then again Robbo got an Evo 2 Small 16G Turbo and Evo 2 exhaust manifold, plus some 510 Evo 3 injectors with the car too, but doesn't look like he's gotten round to fitting them??

Anyhoo, If I get the new job I'm going for, I'm getting me a Lancer GSR 4G93T!!

He he, all I'd need then is a 4G63T to dump in it!! (Here we go again!!)
