Full Lock Vic drift series are organising a drift event on Sat 24th

If my car's ready in time, I'll be competing, otherwise, probably just spectating / pit crew for a friend.

It costs $15 for spectators, drifting starts at 8.30am

This is looking to be bloody good, the track layout sh1ts on calder park. There are also a couple of nasty looking walls on the exit of the last corner, so expect some carnage! no seriously, winton is a great track for drift, and is gonna be good to get a break from calder park.

It's a decent drive to get to winton, but you can camp at the circuit for like $15 / night. I'll probably be doing this with a few friends, so if anyone is gonna camp aswell, let me know. (i think it's a 2.5 hr drive, so unless you're happy getting there mid-late morning, i suggest you camp).

see
http://www.wintonraceway.com.au/?item=6225 for accomodation listing
or http://www.fulllock.com/ for more information

shit..... sept 24th, knew that date rang a bell.

fark it, i'll listen to grand final on radio. This is too good to miss!

the judged section is ok, but what i'm more interested in is the back section (in red on map), heaps better to drift, but won't be judged, only for the Expression Session.

The reason why they've done this, is not enough spectator seating on the back section. which is a pity, coz that's gonna go off.... (and i'm sure the big corner just before the red bit will sort out the boys from the men.....)

why is the red section not judged?! Ive been to winton before for a teamazm track day, and that back section looked the highlight of the track.
Is it because the judges cant see that area of the track properly so they cant judge it?

Ill be going up in a 5-10 car pack leaving EARLY.. like 8am.

they were originally going to use the back section, but not enough spectator seating.

They will be using the back section for the expression session..... that's the only reason i'm going!!! fark the competition, expression session is where it's at...

(i think they're calling it the "JAM" session or something... it's after the comp and just do what the hell you like...)
