So have we got a map as yet? I went on the last MCCR Twisty Cruise and we went up around Kinglake/Lillydale area, was a very impressive map, some awsome roads very well suited to the Cordia setup - my car handled them quite nicely. Alot of twisties, some good LOONG straights (I hit 170 along one of them between Lillydale and Kinglake). The cruise went for about 2.5 hours, would be a fine map day or night.

crap! ive only just seen this post. Rob, your a funny man.
Im up for it. In a cordia this time.
But yes, HEAPS of notice is required, and a massive PM send out is required for all melbourne members PRIOR to the event, and then again a couple of days before hand.
I can arrange this if need be

Well, The meeting spot was in Bulleen (near Xavier College) which I thought was a pretty good spot considering its a 30secord drive from the Eastern Freeway which is convenient for people coming from pretty much any direction. It went from there along the Eastern to Chingvale Rd, Whitehorse Rd all the way through Lillydale, towards Healsville, to Kinglake, then back down through Greensburgh to Donny Maccas :p

Rob that path and meetup sounds good to me.
We can meetup again and send out a massive PM send out.
If you can figure out definate meetup spots, times and cruise route, then i'd say 1 month notice from the date its orgainized.
Check the calander to see theres no important days on the day of the cruise - like grand final day, bathurst, mothers day etc.

Hey guys, has this cruise been yet or not? ive been away for the last couple of weeks. If its still on i vote for lysterfield/emerald lakes cruise. If the cruise has already been then im damn annoyed about missing out on it.

Rob, im ready to give my cordia a good go.

well, as i no longer have a working cordia i probably won't be coming anymore. Unless i decide to get a new car in the next couple of months i don't think my other car will be able to keep up! Maybe i'll borrow a car... i'd say i've got a 10% chance of borrowing a friends WRX but if not then im out.

well if i can ride with you or someone else then i can come (depending on dates etc.), i have my own car so i can get to the first meeting point but i don't think i'll be hammering it round windy roads (in a 1.5 tonne mitsubishi verada with stock suspension). I'll see how i go finding a fast car to borrow

I have got an old old MCCR hypo map here. We can use this path. Starts in E.Burwood. Goes through the hills. Ends in Preston.

Who is keen to get this happening and wants to be a joint orgainzier?

in the past i have found we need more than one person to help orgainize everything... send reminders, make maps, answer the hundreds of phone calls that you get 1 hour before the cruise etc.

Hey all,
Last nite I went on an MCCR Special, which was basically a treasure hunt. SOOO much fun!
Everyone met and payed up $20 for participating, them "maps" were handed out with a list of around 50 items on it, there were two collumns, one listed items you had to collect and the other was items you had to photograph. The items were further sorted into points, according to the difficulty of obtaining each item.
There were things like, take a pic of you mooning a cop station (which I did!), kissing a cops, being arrested (all worth 10 points of course), to take a pic of Crown Cassino, run through a water fountain, collect a McDonald's sauce.

At the end, the winner (with the most points) walked away with $205, 2nd with $50.
So we could give something like this a go for one of the next CONs or whatever.
