I had organised a few cruise back in 2001-2002 with about 5 cars turn up... if you look on cordia power under cruises section (photos) there are some located there...

I know about 2 of the cordias are still working out of our group but mine is down and also a few others as well...

But you will need to advertise it well to get anyone to come...

We are all slackers in WA :D:D:D

Yeah it would be fun but I'm hardly ever in Perth. How about coming up to Newman for the Outback Drags?

Newman is about 1200 kms NE from Perth.
http://members.westnet.com.au/rachpete/ Heres the drags web page. It is a long way from Perth isn't it? The competition is pretty fierce though, last years 4-6's winner drove a 180sx with a sr20det in it. It's fudging quick. 2nd was a '95 Skyline and third was a 300zx (yes a 300z, strange but true). The open class is the freakiest with some pure drag cars running. I may be putting my ol GSR in just for the hell of it. No chance of beating these guys! There is another 180SX with all the stickers on it lol. if it has half the gear inside it that it has on the stickers outside it will be the new champ!

ok thats a tad unfair dont ya think 4s and 6s in the one class damn most of us would get guttted bye 6s especially 180s ect

if there was only a 4 banger class yeah why not but theres big competition for a lil non turbo cordia.
even though i beat those shitty lancers gettin around.

Hey meanme, It probably seems a little unfair but ya gotta remember that those 180's are actually only doing early 15's and late 14's on the 1/4. If you look at the 2003 times compared to the years before, it's a little scary eg 10.14 to Goran's 180 sr20. Thats because the course was shortened considerably when they moved it to the airport. It's 2/3's of a quarter mile, if that makes any sense.... Stock turbo cordias in good nick are capable of doing late 15's too. Modded examples  wellll look at the 1/4 mile times post and you will be surprised! Any ways, it's more about just rolling up and having your two runs, trying to beat your own times. Errr and also beating a few other dudes too heh heh!

As far as the car club thing goes, why not try getting in touch with or joining MOGWA (Mitsu Owners Group West Aust). They are on the net and are a very social club doing everything from paintballing days (bang bang lol), dyno days, BBQ's, Pool nights blah blah. The list goes on. There are some fast cordias like Dennie Chungs beast and also some Starions and other early DSM's. It's been featured in Hot4's and is the home club to David Thomas from RPW's twin turbo Magna, Growwrrl, that car is toit like the toiger. I'm still a member and I think Lance is too.

Check it out mate.

Like most older 4 cyl cars, there are plenty of 'hot' gems but very few that actually got the goods to go. They look nice though (I guess...).

Mine don't look so good but it goes pretty good...
