yeah was a 2.4diesel..it was lifted but use to stick to its feet no worries never had a problem and it was put through its paces..

only reason she went over is i was doing 120 and a kangaroo jumped into the side of it off a cut out and threw it outta controll

cheers nath

lol jimi yeh the 2.4's are gutless hey..mine was a slug even after the extractors but i whacked a CT20 on it and it use to sit on 120 no worries. got a 93 model 2.8 diesel now i was running a TD04 on it that made it get up and boogie

aha.. i have a 96 rodeo now... goes a bit better than the hilux but not as much as i would have liked... debated cooling it and raising the boost a bit but unsure whats safe (need to have a read up).. and since ive done 50,000k's plus in 2 years in and and done nothing more than a set of brake pads and a water pump i dont really wanna fiddle since it needs to be reliable.. still got the gutlux.. shes just a paddock bomb now though!

not overly... she is a farm rig... there is a old sand pit in the forest near by where lots of guys play on motor X... a neighbour and i go and dig it up whenever there is a good shower :D

i have a 253 v8 in the shed i have debated sticking in the old hilux to make it really get up and go... if i do that we will strip it down and make a full roll cage etc...

lol thats the go hey...they are pretty strong them 2.4's...2.8's get a bit of a knock after a hard time and heating issues pretty often when the turbo was on
