Hello all,

Just wondering if anybody has had experience with these bikes? Am looking to get one for my Ls and such, as restricted they're legal in NSW, then take restrictor off later.... or sooner. But yes.

Opinions, feedback: wanted!

Seems like the company has a bad rep. but might be better recently? Also has advantage of it being a full sized bike, not a pocket 250cc one.

no actual experience on them but i think their rep is starting to improve... if your a big guy like me a 250 is BS... good thing vic has finally gone for power to weight as to the 250 limit of old... pity its too late for me... i got around on a 500 for my p's anyway ;)
suzuki gs 500's are great bikes if your looking for another option :)

they are a good bike from all reports, they are a division of suzuki and have a fair bit to do with their engine manufacturing, the brand has been around in asia for yonks. the only thing i could say about them is that alot of the spec of the gear is pretty low, it wouldnt be something you would keep for ages IMHO

next time you are in a shop have a look at things like the brakes, triple clamps, bars etc compared to a yamaha etc the quality isnt quite as good.

apart from that you cant really argue with it for a cheap first bike till you get your full liscense you probally wont go wrong with it. the inevatiability of a first bike is you will drop it or come off one or twice so its better than hurting something more expensive.

they do sound fairly sweet with a set of pipes which is suprising

theres some good secondhand metal out there though, it will be interesting because the hyosungs only got big here a couple of years ago soon the market will be flooded with second hand ones as people now have their full liscences and will most likely upgrade.

in saying that get a supermotard :p

Awesome. Some go for about 6.5k with 12 months rego - was a few months back, and i wasn't as interested back then. With petrol, and my wanting to learn for some time now, it's becoming a more appealing prospect.

I think i'd be classed as a bigger person, thus needing a bigger bike. Tall and heavy :D

I thought they were suzuki rip-offs made in korea? From what people slander them to be? If the quality is reasonable and it works, i'm not too fussed, so long as they're reliable, and learner-proof. I can handle a pushbike well :P so hopefully i won't come unstuck on one with a motor :P

39Hp restricted (learner legal), bout 79Hp odd without i think. Weigh in at 180kg dry.

im 6'4" and it seemed not too cramped. cos its a restriced 650 the torque will obviously waay better than a 250 etc.

they're great value bikes for learners.

not exactly top quality stuff on things like paint, finish, etc but they're reliable enough and you won't care that much if (when?) you drop or scratch it. if you were unrestricted i'd say no as there's way better 650's out there but as a restricted rider your options are limited and this is a good pick from that bunch...

:)
