Well, had my first beer at lunch on the 24th, went the dawn service in town went back to the pub, then marched somewhere around midday, back to the pub to play some 2up, then down to cruise bar, home and in bed around midnight. BEST DAY OF THE YEAR, GO THE DIGGERS!

"GO THE DIGGERS". What, are they a football team now and your the cheer squad.

Remembering that 60 odd thousand Aussies died horrendously on some godforsaken beach does not constitute the "best day of the year" as far as i'm concerned. It's great you downed a few britney spears and played a bit of 2up but go easy on the seppo euphemisms.

It's about paying respects to those who went and fought, remembering those who died. It is not meant to be the best day of the year, it's a day of tribute. It mightnt be that great of a day for you, and you may have an alternate opinion... but alot of this country's history relied on that day, and those involved should be remembered and respected.

Yeh it is a day of remembering, but those guys fought to give us the right to do as we wish big ups to newy to going for the service and paying respect, my old man is in the force's, he lead the march in my town this year and his grandfather fought in the war, i've also been involved with cadets and marched all sorts of shit. I know that for alot of the oldies and the guys in the forces they really enjoy knocking back a few at the RSL.

alot of the WW2 guys do enjoy seeing us young fellas on the drink talking tall stories. Doesn't mean we've forgoten what its about.

----End rant--- haha :)
