I smoke....but not ciggies ;).

Finally gave up ciggies a few weeks ago.

I smoke cigarettes coz i'm addicted.....I suck 'em down like coca-cola....it's a habit. Been there, done that...and for too long! :roll: I thought it was time to put what brain cells I had remaining to best use! :P

I have a puff on the odd smoke here or there, only on weekends after numerous beverages. I wouldn't waste my money these days on a deck and wouldn't consider myself as a scab either! :roll:

I smoke cigarets since I was 12 years old.
it was the cool thing to do in those days .
I gave them up for 7 years.
Then I started again .HOW
New year came all my mates came to my house at the time and I started again.
Been wanting to quit but its not easy.
Everyone thinks and says its easy but the reality is that it all depends on you.
How good your work environment is,your family life and your day by day life.
From those 7 years I had to constantly tell my self I'm NOT going to smoke.
That is every day for the past 7 years.
All I need was to walk passed people smoking and the felling for smoking would come back.
BUT it would go away quickly like 10 min tops cause I would try to keep my mind way from it.
The worst part is when you go back to smoking again you will smoke double.
HOW I stop smoking I went cold Turkey.
Now I'm thinking to stop in this new year with patches or what ever the doctor says.
Good luck for those people that has stopped

cordia power should start a class action against big tobacco :D

I don't mind a cigar on the odd occasion, but not really into cigarettes.... costs alot of money, not to mention ya health. :)

I smoked for 10 years and that's at least a pack a day for 8 of those years so it was a massive drainer on the funds.

I quit about 4 years ago though and haven't had a drag since.

Giving up was the hardest thing I have ever done but it was so worth it. It gets easier month by month and year by year. I only really stopped thinking about it occasionally after 3 years of being smoke free. I still think about it every once in a long while but it's very easy to deal with now.

You get fatter but you get your appetite back making food taste so much better.

Running 10 metres doesn't puff me out anymore either :)

So to quit you need first need to really, really want to and it helps to pick up a new hobby or something to replace the time you would have spent smoking. And get some strong patches which I reckon really take the edge off. Otherwise you'll probably just end up grumpy all the time.
