i smoke very occasionally, usually when i'm really drunk but i have to say in 2006 i can count the number of times i've smoked cigarettes on the fingers of one hand. I don't really see the point, i've past the age when it's considered 'cool'

Pay that. ^

Dont smoke, but did when I was trying to fit in to 'cool society' as an eager 16 year old. Now days I cant stand it, though I do appreciate a Nicaraguan cigar on the odd occasion, but I dont see that as smoking cos you dont inhale.
Bring on smoking bans for indoor venues. I cant stand the odor and will turn down a chick at the drop of a hat if I see her light up, no matter how attractive she is, how well we get along etc. it just turns me right off, but thats just me personally.

I cant wait till smokers have to stand outside at pubs....I'd go out a lot more if it wasnt for smokers.

There is nothing more than getting home late at night drinking a little to much then waking up with the smell of stale cigarette's on you.

Many people who smoke say..."Well you drink alot..you dont hear me complaining!!!!" (fair enough) But when I drink the person standing next to me isnt being poison'd by what I put in my mouth but with smoking it's different.

QLD has a full-on no-smoking-in-pubs-deal going down and they are very strict about it, which is good to see.

Good reasons to give up man.
I've studied a bit of hypnosis and NLP, in my opinion, that stuff really works well to help giving up. It basically kills the habbit and psychological side of things by destroying the connection between the trigger, and the reaction to want to light up.

I've tried to give it up so many times, I need to take my shoes and socks off to keep counting.

The best I have ever done is 3 months without them, but the stress of my job and raising 2 kids and a sometimes nagging wife drove me back to them.

Should drink more beer to escape reality!
