4g63t engine. '63DT' stamped on the piston

the most boost Ive ever run on a stock VR4 bottom end was 32.5psi on a 20G

it was pretty quick , but with no issues , but I had the set-up to back it up also , I was usually running 25psi anyways

Very common, usually pre-ignition along with age is the culprit.

I have used Wiseco (.020" over) and Manley rods If you are interested.
