Hi,
would any guys wrecking a GSR cordia, have a gear shift insulator in good condition? if not how much would it cost for a brand new one? and is the part number MB180367 )something along those lines).
Need one asap. My gear stick went through the floor as I was about to drive through macas :(

Cordia is alive and kickin. Was doing well until the gear boot isolator went and my gear stick dropped :-)
Lucky it didn't happed too far from home

im chasing the exact same part, its a stupid set up, but so necessary.

If you're talking about what I think you are, wrap a thick-ish copper wire around the top gear stick rod, there should be 2 rods under there, and the top one should be the one that holds the stick in the hole. And there should be small tunnel like things in the top of the tunnel for the gear stick rods which you can stick the wire in, it's the way my car is rigged up, and it's holding up.

I will check tomorrow at work, to see if you can still get them new, maybe a group buy to make it cheaper? if there still avalible

oh you serious Tim? these rubber things must have a 25 yr life expectancy.

i'll be visiting clark rubber this weekend to fix mine lol..
i remember i fixed one on my old cordia and it lasted longer than the car lol!
