Hey everyone,

I got the gear which was stuck previously out into neutral, now this is the current problem :(

When the car is switched off I can select all the gears freely, when the car is switched on, I can't select 1,2,3,4,5 and when trying to put it into reverse I get the rolling/scratching sound.

The slave piston is moving but how much is a reasonable amount ? It's been bleed properly now and there is plenty of pressure.

I've installed a new HD Clutch setup, and it was all working fine with the slipping clutch before I took out the gearbox.

I did put in a new thrust bearing, and compared it's dimensions to the old one which checked out fine and I did put it in the right, assume I did cause I spent half hour to make sure it was clipped in the most logical way, beleive me I knew I would have to take the whole gearbox out if I didn't do it right the first time.

Give me some ideas anyone, I've read the mitsubishi service manual and basically did everything by the book, so I want to beleive.

The only thing I haven't played around with is adjusting the clutch pedal clearance which the manual says I should if "the the clutch does not disengage properly or if parts of the clutch mechanism have been replaced"

Would this affect the clutch not engaging properly since it's new and not as worn as the old one ?

I can't get it dynoed till this is fixed, I've had to reschelude atleast 3 times now.

Please help !!!!

Ta

:(

An update, pedal freeplay was approx 14mm b4 which somehow worked fine, changed it to 24mm and nothing still.

I did remove the 5th gear actuator and then put it back when reinstalling the gearbox, could this cause the problem ?

What if 5th gear is jamming the movement of any of the other gears ??

Anyhow, removing the vac lines didn't do anything, so any idea's cause I'm 99% sure I installed the clutch and bearing perfect ??
