I'd suggest you take it to an auto electrician if you don't know what you're doing. Electrical gremlins aren't easy if you're not familiar with circuits.

No, the alternator will not do that. Is likely your ignigion or a dropped cylinder. Wouldn't know, you haven't said much about it.

every cordia will be good once all the problems are sorted out...

thats not entirely true debba, low power could cause a missfire due to weak spark, but in saying that the battery would have to be at the point where it would barely turn the motor over... so its not a likely scenario

dashdude, your multiple electrical related symptoms point to an electrical problem. Bad earthing and low power can cause weird things to happen. My suggestion is to check all of your earths in the engine bay are making good contact. This is something easy you can do without costing anything. Failing that take it to an autoelec.

I had a bad earth on my skyline and the symptoms were that the headlights wouldn't turn on, and when you went over a bump the tacho would bounce and go crazy.... like I said, electrical gremlins can cause weird problems that aren't really intuitive.

that's why i said ignition, i just spelt it wrong ;)

Wouldn't be battery/alternator, because that'd apply over the whole motor, not one cylinder.

You have 5 threads in a row in this tech forum all asking multiple questions. It seems like you car has more problems and you don't know where to start (don't worry, we've all been there). I think it might be a good idea for you to take your car to a garage or auto electrician and get it looked at. It might cost a bit of $$$ but it'll save you in the long run and stop you pulling your hair out.

In the meantime:

It'll be worth it once you get your Cordia Turbo running smooth!
