Nice writeup. From what vehicle is the bush you used from? And what part of the suspension? Also do you think this rapid-fix you suggested would hold together a rubber strut top for a while, and maybe prevent any cracks from opening up....lol. Where's a set of car keys when you need em. Good ol' Tony Grieg. Man i'm loving this summer of cricket. |

The bush is from a Holden Commodore VN -VP and is the rear shocker bushing........Nolathane part number is 43002.......I just bought the rubber ones, at $2 who could argue!! Rapid fix is great glue for rubber, better than super glue...........would be best for you to add the glue then jack the car up to allow the rubber bushing to subside. |

Just ordered some rapid fix. Just wondering if i should use the welding powder on the rubber cracks. What do you think Andrew? |

Yes..........put down some glue first then add the power, add more glue on top but make sure no white spots are visible (powder too heavy)........works great on rubber, have even fixed badly destroyed engine mounts with this stuff!! |

What is the part number for the bushing? I called about this part number (MD701605) and the local dealer said they have 88 in stock in Atlanta. This should be the same part as the Cordia since it uses the same shifter style (it is from a Chariot, uses the same transmission as the Cordia/Tredia). I will be ordering two this week. https://www.mitsubishipartssource.com/p ... 01605.html Rob https://partsouq.com/en/search/search?q=MD701605 |
