hmmm yeah ive always loved the VR4, i think with my current finantial position, a rebuild would be more my forte, i have never pulled an engine out of one of these, it sorta looks straight forward. my brother works at coats hire and can get me and engine crane, im only limited on space my parents have 7 cars at their place hahahaha

You won't know the engines condition internally until you pull it down........the 62 so far has cost about $300 to rebuild. (Parts and machining only)

Like I said Brad, you won't know until inspected......I was lucky with the 62.......bearing crush was excellent and it only required a re-ring and new valve steam seals, but just to be sure I also replaced the exhaust valves.

Turbo is another story......................................:(

I don't drive it much as one single defect will ruin my soul. :(

Traction is sorted with equal length drive.......don't think the gearbox will last too much longer.

It's better than you think........with a conventional diff it's OK until you hit a manhole cover then all hell breaks loose........would be better with an LSD.......some of us have looked at the KM210 and KM206 conversion from Magna/Galant check out this thread.

That's bummer Brad........from the head shot only 3 of the 4 extra inlet valves are engaged.

Can't believe the oil pump (solenoid) has had the wiring loom cut.

I'm starting to wonder if the injectors are staged or not........from the smell of fuel I'd say they are both firing on idle.

There should be 2 wires off of the solenoid.......they travel through the rubber half moon.

Like this:

Image

You will need to switch the solenoid open at 2500rpm......does your computer have and auxiliary driver?

The turbo looks like a TC05.....as it has 05 - 12 embossed on the compressor cover. :)

damnit so i was lied to when it come to the turbo, i was told it was a TD-05... oh well.
as for the auxiliary driver i have no idea... just thinking why the fuk someone would not want to have this hooked up in the first place... there arent any holes in the half moon for the wires to go, almost like they meant for it to be this way.....
