Just had another look, it's a TD05.......the wastegate mounts gave it away. Little hard to tell from photo's though. ;)

ahh cool. im glad i wasnt lied to thanks man

I was just thinking they might have kept the loom from the 4G62 thats why it didnt have the wiring provisions for that head solenoid..... sounds like the owner who did the conversion didnt know what the fudge he was doing to be honest.

It will be easy to get the solenoid working.........your main problem is identifying how the injectors are wired in...........alot of guys on here ditch the DASH injection unit and use the standard cordia ECI body.

Check out this thread.....full of goodness.

You might need to be careful having them run all the time........don't forget it's an oil pump in the head........starting from cold my be an issue.

If you wire it to 12V just make sure it's part of the ignition switch and not straight to the battery.

The only other trouble is now the injection becomes a problem.........you will basically have 1500cc of fuel on idle.........I would probably stage the 500cc one until 2000rpm (or lower)........best to do this on a dyno with and oxy sensor to ensure mixtures are correct.

sweet as, i found the 2 wires and took the solenoid of the head, then went to check the computer, but cos the car is parked against the fence on the passenger side i couldnt get a good look at it.. and then it came to me.........

How possible is it that my car might be a 4g62 but just with a 4g63SOHC head on it?...
