Is it turbo?

Usually when the engine lightly smokes on idle after initial warm up it's valve stem seals......smoking under load is rings (Blow by), and alot of smoke after a long period of idling, then revving for it too disappear for a little while only to return is turbo. :)

Appreciate your custom JD, but your statement is incorrect.

Oil when burnt is "blue"....but because you see it out the back it doesn't automatically have to be rings. There are other variables as I have already stated.

Best to do a wet & dry compression test to determine the bottom end status.

White smoke or excessive steam is the engine burning coolant, not oil.

Excessive black smoke is overfuelling of the engine.
