Hi folks,

I need to remove a lock nut on one of my wheels but I don't have the adaptor to remove it :x can anyone suggest an easy way of removing the nut?

The car isn't mobile so I can't take it anywhere to get it removed.... ;)

Cheers

at the workshop it usualy always ends up ending in the destruction of both nut and socket depending on design

tack welding, smashing a socket on with a mallet if they are generic lock nuts take a photo and go to super cheap and check out the ones they have, maybe they have a locknut set that is close to what you have

is it a locknut with an internal key or an external one.

One of those mulit fit sockets with the cam inside them will grab most things if you can get it in there.

I think I'll have to weld another stud onto it to get any purchase.......I tried using a smaller socket and hammering it in but no success.....then we tried chiseling it but the lock nut started to splinter..
