Good Stuff mate so what CV's are you gonna use will the cordia ones fit and line up without a problem ?
And was it hard to Fit the gearbox to the engine with the engine still in the car or about the same as when you do a normal cordia gearbox ?
If the CV's are just normal cordia ones i'm gonna get it done straight away will make the drive a whole lot better

Thanks for all feedback.

I used the cordia shafts. I found that I had to modify the gearbox mount slightly as well because it was loading up the frount and rear engine mounts.. so I cut and rewelded to mount that bolts to the chassis. I still plan to fit the gsr box, but have fitted the km206 so I can get it regoed.. don't want to have to blue slip it! Booked in to get tuned and regoed next Wednesday. It hasn't been driven for 12 months...

I fitted the box with the engine still in, but it is a tight fit. I jack up the timing belt side of the engine to tilt it. This allowed me to be able to fit the box, but it also stuffed out the front and rear mounts from tilting it..

Sweet I guess it's shopping time for me this week i got a list from all your posts, They have been a real good guide and i think a km206 will be fine enough for me as long as it makes the shifts a whole lot better how does the change feel ? a whole lot better than the notchy old cordia box i'll bet. So you used the Nimbus mounts for the gearbox? and you still had to modify them is that right the pictures look as though it fits well, also where did you pass the cables through the firewall?
Once again top job and you have help out alot of people like myself
Thanks Piers

got it registered the other day and tuned. Gearbox is awesome! Much nicer to gear change. And i was impressed that the engine produced 183kw with the clutch slipping..

When i get a chance i will pull this km206 out and continue with the w5m33 box fittment. Pretty excited, i've got a kid coming along so this project will be on the back burner..

When I last replaced the clutch I didn't machine the flywheel... oh well, lesson learnt. Haha

By the way that is with 20psi running through TD05 16G

ahhh nice, i was only running 13psi through 20g was gonna wind it up to 18-20 except injectors become a problem one of my 650cc were stuck full open and flooding out a cylinder so we resorted back to the yellow tops 560cc and then clutch went hmmmm not a good run will get it higher next time.
