Hey everyone i seem to be having a problem with my cordia blowing smoke, on startup it belows a bit out the back and ive now noticed it blows it on driving too. It doesn't seem to be blowing smoke on boost tho. Any advice on where to start looking would be great.

Your car: MY car? hmmm a black hunk of metal that moves once every year
blue smoking on idle and on take off but not on boost sounds like valve stem seals.

valve stem seals won't smoke when it's driving. Will smoke on startup, and whenever the car is sitting for a while, as the oil will be able to leak down then.

Sounds a bit funny to me, maybe get somebody to drive behind you, and check it isnt blowing smoke under load?

How many ks on the motor, how much power is pushing, etc. would be useful to try and figure out what's wrong with it. Would help to indicate if it's the rings that are gone anyways.

The car is running standard boost i think it hits 5 pound, completely stock standard otherwise.
The car has 195 thou on the clock.
Im preety sure it doesn't blow smoke on boost but i can never be sure untill someone follows me from behind i guess.
Would the car blow smoke all the time if the turbo is cooked? or just on boost?
Ive had a few V8's but this turbo thing is preety new to me.

if the turbo was cooked you will know about it , it will be constant white smoke and have a very oily smell

valve stem seals are very common on these cars ,

there is 2 ways to repair it
1. head off , reco it and refit new head gasket, timing belt etc , it will cost more this way but its well worth doing it all know

2. buy the special tools and change them over without removing the head
