Update:
Received the original dash fascia back........but as you can see from the photo the markings are printed on the plastic......so rather than polish them off I made a new one out off UVex (Bottom)

Image

Hopefully get an email this week for the fascia panel as the markings are printed on the white vinyl.

After many years of owning this dash I could NOT find anyone to replicate the fascia panel in white vinyl.

So...............thought I would give it a go myself........after hours on the computer drawing this panel in PAINT ive nearly got it perfect!

Here is the dash with the fascia simply printed out on paper and half cut to suit.

Image

The image is just not quite right, need to move a few things around.

Here is the dash lit up.

Image

Once I have the image perfect I'll print and cut using my wife's craft Robo cutter and install.

Is there anyone within AUS still looking for parts from an Elite? I have come across somebody not far from home whom is wrecking not just 1 but 2 TM Magna Elite's. I'll be contacting the seller tomorrow to confirm parts availability.

So for my own reference of a potential purchase, from what I have gathered - other than the cluster itself I'm going to need the temp gauge sender as well. Anything else worth taking? Cluster plugs etc.?

Make sure you get the fuel sender unit (in the fuel tank) and the electric speedo (located on the gearbox where the cable is located), take the cluster plugs aswell, you will need them to graft onto the cordia loom as it's a different connection.

Thanks for confirming Andrew. Some very useful information here.

Did you or anyone else that you know of ever successfully custom mount the Magna cluster to the Cordia surround? I hope to experiment with a spare that I have if I get my hands on one.

The magna dash is a little tall, the warning lights down the bottom will foul on the rear demister and washer switches, you will have to relocate them, a custom shroud will need to be made, doesn't look that hard to fit, just fiddly.

Great to bring up an old thread........after all these years I have finally got the digital dash 100% operational......gave up on the fuel sender unit as I couldn't get it to work........pulled it out today for another go...........simple really..........the stock fuel sender unit can be used, just need to find the 5 volt source from the dash and run to the yellow (power) wire of the cordia and ensure the ground is returned to the dash........vola.........fuel gauge works 100%!!!!!!!

Bloody stocked!!!.........have also found a guy to help replicate the white fascia in vinyl............get ready for install.
