Hey guys, Ive got a 4G62T engine that im about to drop in.. My question is, there are two "connections" on the sump... and one of them im not sure about.. One is the drain for the turbo ( about 10mm), the other is about 4mm small tube... im not sure where this is meant to go to, or from, any help would be appreciated.

AHHHHHhhh awesome... thanks merlin, i knew u'd know. So basically cordias run a oil catch can standard (pretty much).. hmm, well I definately know i dont have that bit.. back to the damn wreckers it is.... Hopefully I get this damn engine conversion done soon.. one more question dude.. That part on the sump, goes to top connection on oil/air seporator ? or bottom (looks like it has 2 connections...

the catch can has 2 large vac lines on the sides and one small line on the bottom.

- the first large one goes to the top of the rocker cover near the sirius sticker (this is for the blowby vapour to get to the oil/air seperator)
- the other large one goes to the airbox (this is for the air)
- the small one goes to the sump (this is the oil drain)

if you can't be bothered with the catch can. here's what you do.

Block off the line on the sump
block off the airbox return
get a gatorade botle
run a line from the rocker cover into the gatorade bottle.
you do this, it saves you getting oil in your air filter/turbo/cooler as all turbo's get a bit of blowby on full boost.

done... jap spec..... epa's gonna luv ya.

hmm interesting, u sure know ya stuff mate... So basically, what ya saying is, block off the smaller tube at the sump ? block off the feed into the airbox from rocker cover ( silicon up the hole ? ), and use a bottle for a catch can ? correct me if im wrong dude.. im new to cordia motors, and its been about 10 yrs since i owned a turbo car

haha, that's the attitude, what you describe is fine, you just have to empty out the gatorade bottle/coke from time to time because it doesn't drain back into the sump. Just figure out a way to block off the lines, whatever works will be fine.

i've been around cordia's too long.....

Hey merlin, I know this isn't the forum to post on but.....................wondering if you could give me directions on how to fit a front mount onto my ab cordia gsr.

It has air con, do I have to remove it??

Do you have a diagram or drawing of the setup as the one I have is HUUUUGE?

Are there any cuts I have to do in the chassis to fit it??

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

How the hell did you manage to drag up such an old irrelevant thread?

If your intercooler is 'huge' the you will most likely need to remove the air con.
Depending on the size of the piping you may/may not need to make cuts to the body.
The only way to really know for sure is to remove the bumper and lower front apron
and size it up for yourself.
