Yes Koray, Rub the panel down with 600 grit to remove excess "peel", then use 1200 grit to remove the "rough" look. Finally use a 3M 4000 grit sponge pad until the panel is shiny, then give a quick polish for a brilliant result........and yes.........all of this is done by hand!.........no buff in sight! |

Front bar painted but not polished, all cracks repaired and remoulded around the drivers side parklight. Just need to find some "plastic" spot lights as the glass ones are a little "heavy" causing some cracking. |

Terrance...............the front has not changed.......just the removal of the cold air induction which is now just behind the drivers side of the radiator. Here is a pic: |

phaser wrote: keep in mind guys thats with layers upon layers of clear layed down.. sorry to intrude andrew Thanks Pete, but this is not true..........the 600 grade is use liberally, and the 1200 ensures the panel is discoloured or flat to ensure polishing..............you must only put a few layers down when you have painted........many coats will ensure you don't "rub it through". |

OK...........always had trouble with the idle.........hunted terribly (may remember from vid) from 800 rpm to 1200 rpm due to the cams (and tune). Been adjusting the fuel and ignition map for a few days now, incorporating an AFM meter, and the idle is now stable at 1000 rpm with a little bark............thank god for the Wolf 3D PC Software. Will post up a video if anyone is interested...........just need my camera back from my sister-in-law. Cheers, Andrew. |

Interesting info! Have you played around with the fuel and ignition maps to rectify a problem or to hide the lopey idle which is normal due to the duration of your cams. 400RPM fluctuation has me thinking your car was suffering from something worse that lope, not to mention the very little inches of mercury it was idling with. Have you played with cam timing? |

I have left cam timing as is...........but adjusted the load bands around idle........1.4MS at 22% load and 1.7MSm at 29% load..........the engine hunts between the two (cause of the cams) but idle lock at 1.45MS has fixed it..........idles really well now. Funny thing is the wolf is showing 40 inches of mercury at idle.........when I turned off the idle lock it was back to the "BARP". AFR at idle with the idle lock on is now 14.0:1..........can't get it any leaner otherwise it stalls. |

Cheers mate, good stuff! How are you monitoring AFR's at home? Do you have a wideband in conjunction with the wolf? How is the car to drive on the street these days? Besides the obvious issue one would have with such power, anything out of the ordinary? With the increased demand, has the A2W cooling sufficed? |

Koray, I'm using a wide band O2 sensor with the jaycar back for calibration purposes............It now drives really well at 60 km/hr......it was really bad before...........the cooling system is working well, with the correct AFR the fans only come on during idle or while stationery. |

Forgot to add that I put a one way valve in the pressure regulator line to see boost only..............that was one of the other problems, when the idle dropped so did fuel pressure (dependent of manifold vacuum).............it now has 10psi base with 25 psi (constant) with the engine running. |
