hey guys,
after just getting my cordz back, i took it for a cruise and noticed when going down in gears to slow down after 5 mins of driving the car stalls.
the only thing i could find looking around under the bonnet was that the black wire coming off the coil (that looks like it should be connected to the dizzy) has come off....is this the problem?

If it's a wire that goes into a capacitor shaped object on the distributor then i'd say no to your question.

Believe it or not, if i'm not mistaken I believe that small round capacitor shaped object on the distributor is supposed to reduce the possibility of interference in your radio caused by the car's electrical system.

I need to get myself one of those capacitor shaped things. Ever since I installed my cruise control I've gotten a hum in the stereo which increases with engine speed. Can get pretty annoying when the stereo volumes down low.

on the subject of noise filter jaycar d/smiths etc sell decent ones, up to 40amp noise reducers go inline of you stereo power cables......
Dylan...and btw i'm pretty sure the condensor on the dizzy if there for a different purpose like with points, stops arching of the point tips etc when teh rotor is spinning, yeah i realise there ain't points on these puppies, but perhaps a similar idea for the hall sensor or rotor etc.....Dylan
