Inside the dirty big air can, there is a filter. inside the filter lives an air-flow meter (standard AB GSR intake)
I want to put a pod filter on it, but how do I do this without loosing the AFM (which i assume the car needs to run).
What can i do to run a good air filter, because the standard system seems very restricitve.
thanks fellas

You'll need a new computer. Car won't run without the AFM, and to use a MAP sensor you need a computer, the standard computer won't run a MAP.

Don't discount the standard system.... try giving it a tune first. You'll find that it isn't all that bad... and with a bit of playing it'll work just as good, if not better, than a pod.

Autospeed did a top article on it, it was called Eliminating Negative Boost and is REALLY in-depth.

Astaroth.

Cheers. The standard intake pipe that runs down next to the battery seems really restricitve. I was thinking that i could make a can for the AFM, and mount a pod filter before it....so basically just replace the factory air pick up. the filter seems fairly large, so no big problem there. Plus, I may be selling it soon, so a Pod filter might make it look a bit more ricey. Some people like it...
