my mates have one and the coppers just say
"get that outa my face " or
"i dont want to see that rubbish" and so on

whats the deal?? does anyone else have one or know what the deal is with them like do they hold up as a legal document to say that your car is safe and legal or what ?????

The cops have to know that the car has the paper but if you are nice about showing them then they should be ok about it all... But if you give them lip when you show the paper then they will book you for something else any thing they can find.

When dealing with police (i am one who knows this because of 1 Red and 6 yellow stickers) that if you are curtius to them they can be ok (this is if they got some the night before ;)) if they are in bad mood (wife left them or something) they will get you for something either way

Hope this helps you out... and if they do sticker you for something make sure the pits see the cirt during inspection (in WA pit people some times disagree with cops and they will just take the sticker off your car no worries)...

Good luck :D:D

in the ACT you don't even get a copy of your engineering cert, the pits get to keep it.

In New Zealand when you get it certed, it gets bolted to the firewall!

Your cert should be legal and hold up in court.

Check with a lawer or the cert issuer about the legalities of it.

I'm in QLD and when i a compliance plate for my vr4 and wheels it's pop rivited to the firewall and even when i lived in bundaberg and that is one of the hardest places to live and keep your licence with a fast car they pull you over go mmm this looks nice... pop the bonnet please sir :) as soo as they see the blue plate they go mm thats fine sir have a nice night... it's the best $55 i ever spent. havn't been roadworthied once since... which concidering i use to get checked on average about twice a week ( i delivered pizza) when i had the 1.8 is pritty bloody good..

but as many of you have said... i have always been extremially polite to the cops and they don't normally give me too much troubles...

I've never been asked to pop the bonnet, and I know anyone who has....

Yeah I've never needed to pop my bonnet either. Maybe because it looks like such a piece of crap no one would suspect it was fast lol, or they just don't care what mods you got here.

Although I haven't been pulled over in ages, the cops seem to go after all the sacked out bogan and ricer cars these days. They only ever pulled me over when they saw my face cos I look way too young to have a full licence.
