hi everyone cordias are old now 30 years is long time ,finding parts like injectors
can be a pain.i have done so much research that is not funny.
Ebay sells this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-O ... Swal5YLCR6

if you look at this MITSUBISHI OEM 84-86 Cordia-Fuel Injector MD608908
they have no idea what there selling + who in their right mind would spend that much money.

i came across a seller on ebay was very keen in helping out.
also with the input knowledge from Andrew from this forum, i managed to buy a set of injectors
hopefully it will work.

from my research cordia has low impedance injectors you can not use high impedance unless
your not running the factory ECU.
also AA/AB model cordias are 800cc
AC cordias are 750cc

here is a pic of the upgrade .
only arrived today i got excited cause they look good .
im thinking, i don't think will take much to replace them.
these are 800cc low impedance .
trying to find time to do the experiment is a problem but will be done soon.

Just by looking at the pic, the throttle plate may hit the nozzle of the injector at wide open throttle.

Will check clearances.

Isn't the angle for the loom connectors going to interfere with the throttle body housing? I haven't driven a 4G62 in over 5 years so i could be wrong but it looks like you may have some trouble sealing them at the top.

I hope not though. How much did they set you back?

Nice work mate. After you tightened the injector housing down did you still have clearance between the butterfly valve and the injection nozzle?

Also i've always found putting a light coat of vaseline on injector seals is a good idea so you don't get any chunks bitten out of them when you tighten the injector housing.

I'd also put some spring washers underneath those screws. Don't mean to nitpick mate, it's just that i had neverending issues with my 62 injectors. Was one of the main reasons i went with a vr4.

If these are plug and play, then for $160 you've found a great solution.

hi the manifold is just a spare AC model. only used it to show that fits perfect.
i did check after i tighten it down ,if butterfly was hitting and is good ,there's huge clearance.
toke pic inside throttle so you can see .
i did spray wd40 inside the holes in inlet top thing that the top of injector fits in.
that was done before i recorded the video .
i didn't do this video to advertise, i did it hoping will help someone.

is cheaper to buy 4 if you only after 2 contact the guy there called steve.
price 160.00 for 2 injectors including postage.
don't get them just yet till my next video of installing to my car hear it running 1st.

Great video Fernando, when your engine is cold does the idle speed controller open the throttle?

You should see it move, once warm with the ignition turned on but not started it should extend then close.

If this is not the case the coolant temp sensor may not be working correctly, but as you have no error codes it must be working.

I would re-adjust the TPS once hot to the point where you touch the throttle and engine rpm rises to 1100rpm, this will ensure the ISC will work and make cold starts easier...........replacement injectors has been done before but not to your success.

the coolant temp sensor is brand new bought it here.

not cheap.
the funny thing is after i installed the new sensor the next day i got error message.
3 flashes i disconnected battery and it stopped flashing that was 3 days ago.
i will comeback with more updates possibly will do video on adjusting tps

Nice video mate. What sort of spark plug leads are you using? I have a set of 10mm magnecor leads just sitting here. Maybe they will help with your low rpm issue with those injectors. I've seen more than one car have little electrical gremlins fixed by using these leads.

These leads are as good as you can get for the cordia and as far as i know nobody makes them anymore. I had them custom made for my old 62.

Nobody wants to buy them from me so considering you are working so hard at getting that 62 running well, if you cover postage, i'll give them to you.

If your interested PM your address and i might be able to drop them off to you depending on how far away you are. I'm in Sydney too.

i think your more mechanical minded then me.
we can both play around with injectors.
infact i have set of 750cc low imp injectors and im thinking
that reason car runs rough on take off is cause is running rich.
i checked spark plugs they were wet ,so im thinking what would
happen if i put 1 injector 750cc and 1 injector 800cc?
that will be for next weekend .
if we can do this a lot of people will appreciate it.

The hesitation may just be the factory ECU taking "time" to make up it's mind, I have found in the past if you install a fuel cut defender on the map sensor (spliced inline via the yellow wire) and clipped to 3.8 volt boost comes on strong and quickly, yes, as debated before you can achieve full boost in first gear where the original ECU voltage stops this from happening.
