Sorry for my ignorance
im doing compression test
Cylinder 1= 85psi the rest 95 this to me sounds like rings are worn.
Now I been told that 4g62 is low compression motor.
I know that normally a good engine compression is around 175 psi.
So im getting confused should'nt this motor have this much compression?
thank you for help

I tested my AC, compression is around 140 psi across all cylinders and you can allow 10% variance.

You either have worn rings or non seating valves.

Sounds like rebuild time.

The "BT" is not stamped on the block, the engine number must be consistent with the build plates, this derives from the engine being belt driven and turbo charged.

Your battery is buggered, must have a few dead cells, should hold constant 13 volts on an overnight charge.

Nice looking AB, blue like mine. :)

I just watched that youtube video...........he forgot to say that the throttle must also be wide open, probably why you have such low compression reading.

Is why i kindly asked "how" he did the compression test.

Fernando, sad to say that your engine is still in excellent running order. Its just unfortunate that the gas pedal wasnt placed wide open when you did the compression test, not your fault, it was that idiot in the video that you used as reference, he should have mentioned it.

I didn't have my inlet manifold on engine as I was doing compression test.
Had it removed to clean it out as well as injectors.
In the picture you can see my manifold not on engine.
Does it mean I need to have manifold on engine to do test?
in this pic you see how i left injector top cover thing.
also you can see fuel inlet hose damaged fitting i have a clamp now.
i had fuel poring when i first cranked it you no i live and learn, found fuel pump relay removed it.
cranked it counted 6 times checked psi

got the AC engine started cleaning it noticed intake manifold is different has this thing plugs vacuum hoses to it.
im a little confused i though water runs from there.
also small metal plate missing center of manifold missing from head my AB has small whole that's why plate is need it.
this one doesn't have the whole in head if this makes any sense.
i just replaced 2x12mm bolts

Yep, I have gone through three AC inlet manifolds, they all leak from the welded "bung" underneath, have used AA, AB to keep my car running.

The sensor is a thermistor (senses water temp but controls vacc), it stops the petrol being "purged" when the engine is hot, I have this trouble, tends to "poison" the catalytic converter.

16mm Internal diameter banjos.

The oil cooler was a factory option, if you don't want it just replace the pump shoulder with the other one off the other engine.
