I took it to the garage and he said that its just running rich, the turbo and pipes are all clean and the pressure is fine. He also said not to try and fix it as the setup i have is powerful and leaning it might cause more issues. Anyway if i burn a little extra fuel its not going to cost anywhere near as much as my V8 did haha

It's located on the passenger side of the car, if you look at the intake manifold, there are two sensors right near the distributor. One vertical and one horizontal. The vertical one should have 2 wires, this is your CTS. The horizontal one (1 wire) is for your temperature gauge.

*EDIT* Added below:

I don't know what the part number is but there is a listing for one on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-Cordia-AC-FI-Turbo-1-8-L-4-Cyl-86-89-Coolant-Temp-Sensors-ACA-CS827-/120825146183?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c21bd6b47

Make sure you check your local parts supplier as I'm not sure if this is the going price for the sensor.

I don't think polarity matters on the sensor as they're not marked, however that's the way it is on my 62 so either way you should be right.

No worries about hijacking haha its good to read threads just in case i get the same issues. I'm loving the Cordia, striped the doors on the weekend and installed remote central locking, and in the process of re-trimming everything. Will post pics as I do. So annoying i always forget to take pre photos but im sure i could find examples.

Looking forward to the pics.

I'm going to be getting mine retrimmed eventually, although overall it's in good condition I want to go leather.

What have you got in mind for your retrim?

Mines still all standard at the moment with the exception of my steering wheel and monster tach but
I would like to do something like the door trims on this commodore (I think?), but black leather.

My plan is to try and stick with the 80's styling as much as possible. The only additions being some gauges.
I'm going to be running power windows, with the GSL armrests but no speaker pods.

Here is a very rough render I did in Sketchup.

I went with dark grey on the render as black would be too hard to see.
