The 4g62 shares some of the same internal parts as the SOHC 4g63 and the early DOHC 4g63 including rods and possibly crankshaft. So there is lots of choice when it comes to aftermarket rods. You can also bolt a DOHC head onto the block.

I saw that you are trying to buy either a Cordia or a Starion motor. I don't know if you realise that they come in different bellhousing patterns commonly referred to as wide or narrow block. I suggest that it would be best to buy whichever engine that will bolt to your gearbox.

yer i know mate the engine will be bolted in to a early galant and iv got a wide ans narrow 5 speed gear box, im going to get it all in and goin then upgrade the turbo, front mount intercooler, multi point injection, aftermarket ecu, haltech or wolf, then the bottom end, so the rods are the same in the 4g62 as the 4g63
