What do I get?? 2L 8 Valve, Dash 2L 12 Valve or VR4???
2L 8 Valve 20%  20%  [ 2 ]

ok i know bout the rust in the hatch, my old gsl and tons of it, and in the floor with the spare wheel.


i'm lookin at gettin a Cordia with 2L turbo motor, be it the 8 valve, dash or VR4 16 banger

just wonderin if yas can give me any other things to look out for

ie common rust spots, engine faults etc.

any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

Get a 2 litre SOHC 8V, AFAIK they do not need to be engineered. If you get a VR4, chances are it won't be registered/engineered with that engine number, which is illegal. Technically this means that if you injure someone, you are not covered by the TAC. Also, your insurance company might not cover you.

Otherwise - go the VR4! And boost the shit out of it.

My VR4 is engineerd and registered. you still need engineering on a 2:sohc because of the power output. in the ACT anyway,...
