Does the boost gauge remain on the dot once the engine is started?

tank is full petrol.
no change got to keep pumping accelerator in order for engine to stay alive.
i believe its TPS. I doubt it
i will wait for tool thingy before i pull TPS black cover.
i have checked fuel pressure and good constant amount comes out . You measured the fuel pressure at idle and got 36psi?
the other thing could it be the gasket that i put in throttle body ? No

Sounds like it is lacking fuel.

Are both fuel injectors firing?
Is the fuel pressure 36psi?
Are the injectors that you reconditioned flowing the correct amount with good pattern?

ok i have no tool to measure fuel pressure but if i remove fuel line crank engine there a lot of fuel coming out it does not stop till i stop cranking engine.
injectors are perfect clean good spray they don't leak.

ok the other thing i noticed.
it will only start if i put dissy all the way up towards throttle body.
if i bring down towards belt, it wants to start but wont.
if i put it half way, it wants to start but won't.
if this helps anyone

Grab a timing light and find out where the timing is firing.

Post subject:  Re: engine

hard to check with light cause engine will not idle
have to keep reving it up down .

i believe it has something to do with the part i replaced ,you can see in pic.
atm i have AB inlet manifold with AB throttle body.
i have replaced fuel line of AC model but was leaking fuel from o'ring for some reason.
so i replaced o'ring still leaking ,so i decided to replace the AB top cover throttle body ,the part that has
regulator with an AC one .
no more leaks!
we know from before that has good fuel pressure ,also we know that the regulator is working ,as fuel comes out.
tomorrow im going to replace my old fuel line and the top cover regulator from AB model ( my old stuff).
now if this works means that AC is difference to AB all this hassle cause of a stuffed fuel hose.
if this doesn't do anything them i just wasted time but time is all i have ;)

Highly doubt there is anything wrong with Fuel injection top hat. They are built to last forever, FPR and all, AB/AC identical. Secondly, there is no difference between the fuel feed hose between AB and AC, the bottom hose circled in the picture has a barb with hose clamp, thats all.

If you recently played with the TPS, it will need adjustment. Twist it whilst cranking. Maybe it will allow the engine to idle etc. Lastly, is the AFM connected properly.

yes i agree.
thats why im waiting for the ecu scanner complements from andrew.
it will tell me if tps is the problem how to adjust it.
before i start removing all crap again.
afm is connected 100%

Post subject:  Re: engine

reason i think theirs a difference in the fuel line & top hat?

1-once i connected AC fuel line to AB top hat started leaking
big time not a little drip more like heavy spray even with a new o'ring.

2-removed AB top hat replaced it with AC no more leaks.
but engine will not idle.

3-thinking possible TPS also possible could have something
to do with line & top hat the only way to be sure is removing
and replacing all my old crap.

4-to me they all look the same but is it? thats the question.
by the time i get tps tool my battery will be 100% charged.

5-i have opened my AB top hat .curious what it looked like inside.
it has a big spring & rubber seal thingy was hoping to see
a blockage or dirt inside of it ,but it was nice and clean.

UPDATE:
my plans for today got canceled.
so i decided to work on car.

1- removed AC top hat (honestly is that really the name for it  )
2- replaced it with my AB top hat.
3- cranked the engine started first pop stays on idle @ 2k rpm.
4-fuel pissing out the hose fitting.
5-couldn't find my old fuel hose.
6-use rtv on fitting hope it holds will try again tomorrow till it drys.

got a question the fuel filter benjo curves up or down
i got mine up not sure if thats how is meant to be

I just checked and the O'ring in that fuel hose is MB554315 $7.25 inc GST

I personally wouldn't trust the liquid gasket stuff

Post subject:  Re: engine

i keep constantly repeating my self

o'ring was replaced with new one.
as much as everyone believes the AC model fuel line is the same as AB there
not same in size.
AC fitting is a little smaller not by much for the naked eye just enough to leak.
i aint going to pull all off and measure just to prove it.
about rev @1500 rpm or 1200 accelerator cable is loose not pulling making
engine rev .
about the AC top hat it will NOT work with AB throttle body or black injectors
you will NOT be able to idle the engine.
i hope this will help someone.
at the end of the day all i wanted to do was get engine to start
first hit of the key without holding throttle wide open and I've done it. :D
now repairing alternator lets see how hard is it to open :(

at the end of the day if this helps someone i'll be happy :D
you will be learning from my loss
stay tune for alternator repair

You are wrong mate. I have the spare parts microfiche for AA/AB/AC Cordias.

The part number for the hose AA, AB & AC: MB433963
The injector holder (top hat) AA, AB & AC: MD608904
The pressure regulator AA, AB & AC: MD608906 (later AC's after a certain eng. no. use MD614109)

The problem you have been having is there is something wrong with some of your parts.

congratz

Post subject:  Re: engine

well them prove it?
measure the fitting on ab and ac them measure the hole where the fitting sits
compare ab and ac im not gona waste my time or repeat my self.

Post subject:  Re: engine

by the way the AC stuff that was given to me was working 100% aleast thats what the owner told me.
i should have keep AC manifold and throttle body just place black injectors but decided all AB gear
otherwise i would have more dramas.
at the end of the day i did it is working great .
good luck with yours ;)
