The answer is 'no' to additional mods.

It is what it is. No one is forcing you to be here.

After reading some of these issues brought up by Bitza, and seeing the issues first hand on this forum, Kham, you actually have to listen what is being highlighted to you.

Look at this screenshot:
Image

Moderator AB: last posted > 2011
Moderator Nathan: last posted (only 40 posts in total) N/A last visited, forum cant even recall last visited.
Moderator Mrbishi: last posted 2011.
Moderator: AAGSR (last visited N/A)
Moderator: cowboydan: last visited 2010.
Moderator: steve, last visited 2016 (LONG TIME AGO)
Moderator: Blackgsr, last vited (N/A)
Moderator: TygerTUNG: Last visited 2012.
Moderator: D3BB4, last visited, N/A.

LATEST:
Moderator: Mazda_RX2 last posted Jan 2017.

Look at this screenshot, moderator "AB", last posted in 2011, does that sound ok. Those mods have moved on in their lives and they have probably and truely forgotten about their past role in this forum. They probably forgotten that this forum even exists. You need to make a new batch of mods, mods that are active and can make your site clean. You have only 1 out of 9 mods that are recently active. That is still, 10 mods that are non active overall. No current mods to clean up all the spam.

You need to delete the user level of the above 9 mods that dont exist anymore, and make them just normal user level and NOT moderator, cos they aint modding your forum anymore. They are gone.

Furthermore, you have a member that is fulltime here, Bitza, just make him Moderator, you wont regret it. he will clean up all this spam crap before you do. Its a reasonable thing to do. If you hate Bitza so much, he is still part of the forum, so clearly he hasnt done anything that would require banning, so whats the hold up. You have to be reasonable and use common sense.

He has provided more help and technical assistance than any Moderator in this forum of yours to this date.

Spam is generally cleaned up in this forum within 24 hours. For a forum of this size this is an excellent turnaround time.

I agree with you that Bitza has made a big contribution to this forum and have no intention of banning him. I don't have any reason to.

I certainly don't hate Bitza. I question why you would even use that language. If I'm to appoint a moderator I would need to feel confident I can work with them. I don't feel I can with Bitza based on what I've seen from him over the years so the answer there is no.

Interest in the Cordia has been declining over the years and eventually it won't make sense to keep this site running. Financially, it has been a loss maker for some time but as the cost isn't significant it remains.

The forum will keep running as long as there is traffic going to it. When there is none then it will close.

Not including my time, ongoing costs are web hosting and domain renewal fees. I have a dedicated server which this site and several others are hosted on. The server cost is over $200 a month. Income from other sites offsets the cost of this one. That being said hosting can be bought for $10-20 a month but forums can be resource hogs requiring a better hosting plan otherwise you'd need to put up with potentially poorer performance.

I don't have any real desire to sell the site but if an offer is made I'd consider it. However, a site like this wouldn't usually go for very much so it gives me little incentive to let it go.

Ok, exactly how much does this site cost per year to host and run? I think given the fact that there are some seriously dedicated owners of this car this place needs active mods to keep it clean and functioning. I'm the only active user/owner in the US as far as I know and I have been finding parts that can be used on the car that are not Mitsubishi items but work. I'm not getting rid on my car and having a website/forum for this car is important to saving this car.

Ok then.
I would like to nominate Bizta as a new moderator to help keep this site informed and relevant for those who still own Cordia's and other rare Mitsubishi cars. Australia has by far the largest collection of Cordia's on the planet and I am pretty much the only guy in N. America that has one on the road. I'm going to do my best to contribute to finding and posting parts that can work for the car that are difficult to get. I know that the Starion has a robust following, but this is the only site that caters to Cordias.

We're not taking nominations for moderators.

Ok, then who are the most current active moderators on the site, outside yourself?
Edit: After looking for myself, it seems that you are the only active moderator/admin in the last 120 days. Therefore I am not only nominating but suggesting that you do get another moderator(s) that is active on this forum and does contribute to the community. Outside that, then you should consider selling this site. I have a vested interest as well as a few others here and I think between all of us we could manage to fund the site under new ownership. Food for thought.

There are still a hand full of people who own these cars and this site is STILL valuable. It has helped me out allot since I am the only person in N. America that is actively working on a Cordia. If the site owner was offered 5k for it and did not bite, then there is something more going on behind the scenes.
