Just picked it up this morning, thought i'd post a couple of photos of my new gay yellow beast! 8)

firstly, thanks to Steve for helping out heaps & diagnosing the problem, and also to RACV roadside assist total care for towing it home

'85 AB GSR
resprayed in Porsche yellow :?:
stock standard
not running, but body is straight and not much rust, it also has a SUNROOF! which i'm really happy about.

First thing is to replace a head gasket, and probably the head (overheated majorly, 0 compression in all cylinders). It apparently has the jap import 1.8litre. Don't know the difference between that and the aussie version, but apparently it has a TC05 :(

Might do a home respray, but I think i'll respray the black bits on front and rear in the same colour first and see how it looks.

Anyway, dispite blown motor, it was a pretty good pickup for $200 for a nice straight relatively rust free cordia. And i'm just happy to have a cordia again!!

Sheesh, hasn't anyone told you that the panda look was supposed to be done with black and white, not yellow?

Just kidding - not too bad for $200!

probably just wank factor, though i'll be pulling the head off this week sometime, so i'll let you know if it has aftermarket cams.

i dont think that yellow is too bad with the black tho.. stands out and looks kinda mean.. shame about the parts that SHOULD be yellow too, and the dub motor, but i'm sure you'll work past it!! 8)
