Well, just put some new rims on the car, and they look sick. so i figured it was time I did another photoshoot.

For those of you who don't know, this is my "drift pig" which includes special "features" such as munted (ie drifted) body-kit, crappy 2-tone respray (guy in japan did it, brings new meaning to "home" respray), big fvck-off rims with shitloads of dish and crazy low offset / big width.

These rims are SSR Gartmiers 18x10 rear and 18x9 front. We just rolled the rear guards, and the 10s sit great without scrubbing, but the fronts scrub bad. I'm going to raise the car about 2 cm at the front to try and stop that, and also a bit of guard lipping / flaring. They stick out heaps, and I really need a fat looking rear bar to make it look good! oh well....

I won't be using the rears for drift, coz I don't have enough power to spin 10's, i just put them on to see how they look!

For anyone in Melbourne who is interested in drift, this Wednesday at Calder Park - Twilight Practice night, I'll be driving. It's fun to watch, just remember to bring warm clothes (gates open around 5.30 6pm, $10 entry (i think) for spectators.

Anyway, here's the pics. most people will agree that the rims are too "bling" for most peoples liking, but i like them coz they're phat, and heave heaps of DISH!!!

hehe, nice dish on the FC!!

i got another pair of Gartmiers which are 18x12's but i'm too scared to put them on....

Image

^ those are the rims i actually want. so i'll just have to start saving up.. Work VS-SS

i'm not going to be using them full-time, i just wanted some fat rims with lots of dish to roll up to calder park in... so i figured i'd do a photo-shoot. If i can stop the fronts rubbing, i'll drift on them, otherwise, back to 17x9's :(

we got the rears polished the other day. they used to look the same as the ones on the front.

can't remember offsets but they are something like +1 and -6mm

can't really get wider guards for the 4-door, coz u have to modify the door, and it just looks gay.

so for now, i just attacked them with the guard roller..... (my friend was saying, "nah man, that's enoguh flare" and i'm like "fvck it, let's go another cm".... it looks a bit funny, coz it gets a slight ripple where the spot welds are.

drift night was pretty good. A bit too wet though, kept spinning on the main corner, and screwing up fish-tailing just before the main corner (there's a nasty wall there which is pretty scary at 80km/h in the wet).

By the end of the night, i was doing alright, managed to get a few laps in when i linked up the whole course without spinning, so pretty happy with that. every1 else was doing crap aswell, so, driving through the course without spinning was good!!!

Also got a mention over the PA by the full lock guys....

(announcing people who made it to the final)

and the 4 door R32 skyline makes it through. (me: yay!!!!)... not the white one, though we did see him out on the streets a couple of times illegally drifting, and he's doing pretty well out there tonight though....

lol, lucky my mum wasn't there or anything!!

in the end had to fvck off the 18's, coz the fronts were scrubbing too much, and wasn't sure if it was gonna be wet so i didn't think i had enough power to spin 18x10's.

though i do have a pair of rims in the same style in my boot which are 18 x 12 inches ...... might put them on and take some more pics, i'd expect them to hang out a good 4-5 inches from the guards...

the gartmiers i have which are 18x12, due to the offset, they will stick out the guards another 5 or so cm compared to the ones pictured on the rears at the moment.

that's like, drive past pedestrians on the footpath and take 'em out with the damn wheels....

can't drive past a cop with those wheels out the guards and not get defected....

hehe, hard to do wider rear guards on a 4-door, coz u have to build out the door aswell, and it looks gay

sometimes i wish i had a silvia or a 180 or a 2-door coz my friend moulds wider guards out of fibreglass, so I could get them cheap-as.
