As in the pm sent to Roger. The battery is going in trunk for NUMEROUS reasons. Many simply being packaging. Others being for looks. Theres more to it than that. Also I am willing to agree that these cars probably need some weight in the back. So the engine has been added but from what I know it is actually lighter than the G63B engine. Also the cars ac has been removed. Car also was a non power steering car and it wont have it now either. Any additional sound deadening I find will be stripped out. Car is manual EVERYTHING.

Weight goal? around 1700-1800lbs But 1600 is where I want to be. Should be pretty close to that already. from what I have read a fully loaded automatic ac power steering power window power lock power mirror sunroof etc cars are around 2200lbs.

well, he could relocate the overflow tank, and fit the battery there, or you could hide the battery in the bumper.

you DO know how big of power cable you need to boot the battery, right?

maybe you could use a scoop from a celica gt4 for your cooler, and then a vent from a celica gt4 group A model for the other scoop. i reckon that would look sweet, and work well :)

cordias are too front heavy, the battery in the boot is a good idea. rodger if you dont beleive me drive it on a gravel road with some corners a bit more rear weight would be nice sometimes especially seing they get unstable at over 140kph on the gravel that probally to do with aero tho

By the looks of things so far whatever 86z is doing to his car its gunna be done well!!!! lol i cant beleive u dont get all those imports over there.

Thanks. Yeah U.S sucks... get watered down versions of most cars. Frickin emissions testing. Oh well plenty of ways around it. Though I think our version of your Holden Monaro got the 400hp 6.0L LS2 first. But unsure.
You guys get some neat toys over there. Back on topic. The cordia has a long way to go. But what weight I can strip out will be stripped out. The weight I can strip out will be moved to improve the handling and the vehicles balance. we didnt weight the G63B compared to the 4g63T but it did feel a bit lighter. Will be more pics hopefully soon. I will probably head up there again in a few weeks to check progress.

Did you know australia also gets fudge all models comared to new zealand haha.

Nah if you put on a scoop, you'll have to have it flowing through the intercooler, so have it pointing down.

Why not turn it into a water to air intercooler? Weld a box around it, with some feeds, a pump, and a radiator up front? Could be a good idea!

Edit- also you can just replace the bolts with allen head bolts then they'll fit nicely inside the 4x100 holes without modification!

On the intercooler that might be an option down the line some when I get a bit more money. However the Co2 spray bar will probably do the trick without adding a pump and such. Plus it will be more on demand. But its a consideration!

Thats an idea.... trouble is finding them... but I will look into that! Thanks man!

The trunk works fine for the battey. The battery spot works fine for the intercooler. The rearview works fine for honda's. The tires work fine leaving black marks. Oops got ahead of myself on the last 2... oh well it will happen.
