Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd post what I'm currently working on........I've always hated my COP setup, the bottom plate was made of 2mm steel which I did not like due to some deforming or buckling once the coils where in place, which included 4mm nuts to raise the coils in order to sit properly.................no more.

Image

I have now made a 10mm plate out of 5 layers of 2mm aluminum which will now require the coil length to be adjusted, in the pic below I have removed the plug spring in order for the electrode to touch the top of the plug, the top spring had to be retained due to height and the bottom one removed, this was all checked with bearing blue to ensure correct fitment.

Image

I have cut the coil boots now to 100mm to ensure correct fitment, ensure you use some rubber grease on the spark plug end to aid in removal at a later stage.

Image

Here is the coil, boot and and plug to show the total length (at least 2.5cm or 1 inch to cover the plug)

Image

Shiny new polished alloy cover, and most of the COP installed on the other engine (Cover needs more polish before fitment).......yes, I made it myself, should look nice next the the JM inlet manifold!

Image

Just need to rewire the coils and refit.

Feedback welcome.

Looks awesome Andrew. Bit of work in that i'd imagine. Love the strut brace too. Is it actual carbon or just a wrap?

Bloody good job on it! Looks perfect. The only way i could tell was by the shape of the bar cause i don't think grumbly made those things in carbon.

Great work on the coil cover. Looks professionally done.

No, it's run with 2 standard igniters, the Wolf can run the ignition system in sequential mode, that's 1 igniter for cylinders 2&3 the other for cylinders 1&4, not group fire where the coils are wired together.
