Hey guys, Finally got around to completing the lash adjuster conversion for the 4G62..........so good, no more "tick" from the manual rockers which are a pain in the ass to adjust. Just make sure you "prime" the adjusters before installation. https://youtu.be/-tmk9mZm8iQ |

Nice upgrade Andrew. That engine bay is a work of art. I doubt they looked that good straight out of the factory. |

Thanks Simon, let's not forget the paint in the engine bay is over 3 years old. |

by priming you mean to put the wire in the adjusters, to put all the oil out? so they primed itself at cranking, and self adjusted |

Yes, you need to submerge the adjusters in clean oil and use the wire to remove all of the air from the check valve..........I let them sit in the oil for a couple of days and re-tested, no leak down. If you put them in dry you'll have a hell of a time trying to get oil into cylinders 3 and 4. |

Was looking at the intake manifold setup (multipoint) and I noticed a few differences between Oz 62's and US 62's. My AC has a cast iron timing wheel for the cam, and I have non-roller hydraulic rocker arms WITH jet valves (yes I am running jet valves w/manual adjustment). There seems to be allot of differences between countries for the same car. |
