Coming along very nicely mate.

The satin black looks awesome! Was the number plate surround and the panels under the windscreen sprayed with a gun?

I actually used a pressure pack.........just make sure you spray with flexiprime first, or in six months the paint will flake off. :D

The Blue panels are painted with a gun, bit hard (and expensive) with pressure packs!

coming along nicely

the rubber spoilers are not the easiest to clean up , but if you use a high presure washer and degreaser , they just get that old residue off , then you can treat it pretty easy

Thanks Travis, but I still need to finalise this.

Now......bumpers........the front one had been hit "hard" on the drivers side causing distortion to the passenger side.........basically the bar was twisted.

After an initial inspection I found the front bar on the drivers side had forced itself "down" due to impact. I G clamped the plastic a little further and heated with an LPG attachment to a bottle.

Before heating the indicator had a large gap at the bottom:

Image

After heating:

Image

The passenger side was the same but not so bad:

Image

Passenger side after fixing, the indicator fitted perfectly:

Image

Still fixing the drivers side:

Image

The whole bumper is looking good now.........the style lines meet up but it's not perfect.

Spent today fixing the original rubber rear wing..........alot of the frame was rusted out allowing the threads to come away.

I replaced the threads and used urethane to hold them in place............after continual swearing the wing now aligns with all the original holes. :D

Image

Here is the wing drying.........needed to hold the outer edges down with tape to ensure the threads didn't pull through........very happy with the outcome. ;)

Bought some 5 inch (125mm) speakers to replace the old ones.........could only get them with a grill and tweeter.......here is how they look applied to the original mounts:

After pod installation........perfect fit:

Wasn't happy with the front bar..........so back in highfill it went:

Image

Image

I'm now happy, after days of rubbing.......no nicks, dents or blemishes to be seen, just need to pin the bar and add the textured look as parts of the bar are actually flat and add satin black.

This pic shows the bar is "smooth" after fixing a large break.
