I would get a new CC style radiator and low temp thermostat + Davies Craig 14" fan, there much better for lower temps

CC Lancer GSR style radiator , or a ASI ebay unit , there pretty cheap for what you get

Davies craig fan is slim line , you can buy them from supercheap , or like mine was off ebay for about $75 from memory

I was joking, I just have something against plates that tell me what colour the car is... I guess in your case it's good, seeing it's the only black Cordia I know that's on the road.

Hats off to you for getting it on the road. Good feeling ay?
Now let's cruise!

hey jon, any chance of a pic of the final product? and what one would you recommend? had a look on the electric booster pumps about 130-150

I think i will still piss off this radiator its old and ugly :D

the car over heats on turbo timer but if i let it idle with key in it doesn't, something seems odd i might change temp sender and recheck again, i know its not boiling so thats a start.

found my vac leak :D the x-over silicone joiner splits in half on boost!!!

My car was doing the same thing when I first got it, problem was the thermos weren’t wired to come on whilst turbo timing.

I assume the guy who installed mine previously had an experience installing a timer prior to working on my car. Probably with a skyline or something where thermo’s are not an issue with turbo timing.

Yeah, your thermos aren't wired in to run on timer. Nah, no photos sorry, I'll remember next time the car comes in. If you get the controller you can set it to flow at set RPM, also set it to flow for time after the ign is off to eliminate heatsoak. I'm gonna put one on the Evo. Added benefit is no pulley drag at all, so instantly helps RPM and a tiny bit of output. Waterpumps them selves are very inefficient, they are designed to flow properly at low RPM, but once the car is at speed they are spinning so fast they cause cavitation which obviously drastically reduces the amount of flow and cooling. Can you tell I love them?

Jon, what's the advantage over pulley resistance verses alternator drag?

the BES "stock" turbo timers that have a plug in section do not run the thermos so that would be the first place to start

a electric water pump is prolly a bit ott for what is a pretty much standard cordia

Yeh bingo on that then, i use the stocker timer.

I think i might do a cooling system upgrade before i look at the pump, the controller alone costs the same as 2 new fans and a radiator :P (almost)

I meet a guy with a Pajero and he has made his own Fan controller , depends on what the temp is up to the fans just flows enough to keep it cooling ,so it can run on very low rpm so its not sucking alot of current out of the battery/altinator , then as the temp goes up the fan come on stronger,

I dont know who he did it ,I could see his own little hand made bits , but worked a treat
