has anyone seen this before? apparently some cordias had a super shift. i found this on wikimedia, it had no info with it.

The GSL manual had a 'super shift'...four on the floor and a hi/low shifter, so in effect, I was an eight speed. I don't think your image is from a cordia judging by the centre console and the seats...

the awd models had the same shifter setup
could possibly be an import model in the pic, the stezza is in the right place, the seat rails look identical, some had a 2 piece centre console like that in the pic
all i can say is yuk lol maroon n brown :S

my cordia had the same shift levers like those when i first had it.
same centre console, different colour though.
it was awkward the first time i drove it.
"after 4th gear, shift to 'economy' mode, lower revs for cruising thus fuel economy.
to downshift, shift to 'power' then shift gears down as usual with normal gear lever".
at least that was what being told to me by the previous owner as i had no experience with the shifters setup before.
took me a while to get used to it.
same setup in our local spec's tredias and colts.

the way your ment to use the power shifter is to use it every gear to get the most out of you gearbox
you can do it to all the cordias
just run a wire and button to the inside and then you will have an 8 speed gear box
