Up to you Tim, My bearings and rings were not scored or scratched and rod play was fine. In fact, the motor was built 25,000 k’s ago by previous owner and I still decided to do it. Keeps me occupied lol and at least ill know exactly what’s in it.

By the way when you gonna let jay get a nights sleep, poor guy lol

Post subject:  Re: FRONTN

i gues you need to decide if you wanna rebuild it now or later... whats happening with daily transport etc?it only takes a couple of hrs to get a cordia motor and box out so its not a big deal if you decide to do it later. i cant remember what you have waiting for it but mebbe put a couple of the bolt ons on and get a retune to cut down on some of the black smoke under boost then when winter comes around and you cant drive it in the wet go the full rebuild *shrug*

while were on it do you still have that rear lip? not really worried how fudged it is, i'l patch it up then take a mould off it :D

You should put a strut brace to cover the standard holes on top of the strut tower, it’ll keep the boys in blue happy.

koray wat the? lol i've been doing all the work.. the car is at my house.. i've learnt how to do shit lol! just lazy.

jamie i've been too lazy to get the fleet car as i can't work out this tax shit! so yeh i've been driving the other cars.. ce lancer, au falcon, dc2 itr..
regarding the rear lip come take it and try to make a mould. the left side is completely snapped off, but if you can copy the right side then you'll be all good..

Guys the project might be on hold again as work may send me overseas for a business trip for about 3 months! still yet to find out!

Post subject:  Re: FRONTN

hey Tim
what model (evo, vr4 etc) are the coilovers off?
and how hard was the tower to drill?

i got some vr4 ones coming in the next week or so, so just sussing out the best way to do it

Post subject:  Re: FRONTN

Tim’s HKS coilovers are off an Evo 6.

Aligning the shocker would be harder than drilling the actual holes. If positioned incorrectly it throws out castor, this is not a problem as cordia’s have factory adjustable caster rods but it helps to get is straight.
