After the tune it was time for bigger brakes in the form of:
Fronts: Evo 2 calipers with RDA 276mm slotted rotors.
Rear: TP magna sedan calipers with RDA 256mm slotted rotors. Maxistop pads all round.
I also decided to change to king springs and the ultima shocks (don't ask) lol.. Now it looks like I ran over Ronald..

I like the engine bay. BUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THE TURBO!?!?!?! It's a bit sideways :P

And the maccas brakes... wouldn't it be bad to have the slots painted??? I don't think the paint would assist heat dissipation.

Drives good? looks like a nice power curve :)

D3bb4: Long long story bout the turbo on an angle, read the T4G thread. CBF discussing haha..
About the slots I only went to paint the middle and shaved the overspray off and can't reach in the slots, no biggie.
Yeh drives good enough for me, minimal lag if any.. and pulls good..

Hey Tim, what have you done to the internals for it to peak at 8,200rpm? Are you sure that's right? It's certainly coming along tho, good stuff mate!

yehh, is more that it's at a mad angle :P i know it's mirror'd

you need to update ur pics dave :P

and apc make camshafts!?!

just as a caution: NEVER go stingy on camshafts. Ebay/chinese rip-offs are crap. We did hardness tests on them vs. greddy ones at uni, and they're shithouse. Wouldn't last anywhere near as long in an engine.

andrew: i think i memorised the thread you posted up about equal length shafts.. so i think i'll be fine.. great work btw.

85_cordia_GSR: yeh it's been a long time coming but JayRome was there to finally push me to finish the body work while he tackled the engine bay.. 3 fckn yrs lol.. but yes more to come, i think i'll now go overboard with this car and just buy a daily.

D3bb4: cams are from an APC evo motor. APC currently have the quickest evo in the world. I don't think these are cheap cams.. but thanks caring haha..

rpm was limited to 7.5k after the tune. seems like a turbo/diesel..

Now i haven't updated this thread for ages and some of you did see this at the cordia cruise.
- The car still hasn't had a cut and polish.
- Stereo gear still hasn't been installed

I did start taking my car to work everyday until one morning in peak hour traffic I couldnt' engage any gears, clutch pedal did feel soft at one stage or I just grew left leg muscles lol. Anyways I towed the car home and swapped the master cylinder as was suspected and still the same issue. Gearbox is 'almost' out, as you all know i work very slow on my car and i work heaps so no time. Now suspected issues may be the clutch or was told the 'fork' in the box may be stuffed, so trying to get another box asap.

While i'm swapping the box I will be adding the 2 piece shaft using bitza's guide and i'll also be putting in the coilovers on the fronts. I'll be swapping the brake master to a 1" and also the brake booster from a galant gsr.I may also rip open a cordia box to try and put the ralliart LSD in. We'll see.

So yes yet again FRONTN is off the road!

That's how projects go. I've shelfed mine again because uni got too full on too fast.

Least you know where the issues are and you have a plan. :)

Good luck with it.
