Get your self an Xtreme 6 puck. Andrew, Brad and I all run these and haven’t had a problem yet.

Brad has had his for over 2 years with power up to and above 220kw and I’ve had mine with 600nm at 3.5k rpm for near 8 months and it’s been great.

Personally don’t go custom as off the shelf or modified to suite is always cheaper. It will most likely be more money than its worth.

If you want the part numbers to the 6 puck Xtreme with MS pressure plate gimi a buzz

Koray

haha i snapped a pbr clutch a few yrs ago with the old setup, 14b etc, and now a exedy 4 puck.
now i think it's the way i drive.. i usually heel n toe every single time i'm braking.. or maybe due to 'some' flat throttle shifting!..
i'll consider the 6 puck extreme clutch but the way koray (trqstr) described it, it's abit harsh with the "de de de de de" i need to be a lil more street friendly and my mate has come up with a custom clutch he can get from his suppliers so leaning towards that at the moment..
we'll see... soon!!

Ok Timmy makinen lol

Go with the xtreme 6 puck arrangement. It's been tried and tested by me :P and is not too bad on the leg once you get used to it! ;)

Forgot to add that the "de de de" could be from the solid engine mounts.

Keep in mind that mine has already chewed threw a gearbox (it could have also been from the oil that was in there). Guessing that’s no problem for you anyways as you end up changing them sooner than the clutch is able to do any damage lol.

All jokes aside, I must say you heel and toe quite well that shouldn’t be doing any damage. However I don't like the idea of flat throttle shifting. Can’t be good on the clutch. But because of this the name stays Timmy Makinen lol.

Yep, those are the part numbers just make shure you ask for a 6 puck!. The first 1 i recived was a four puk and i sent it back.

Not cheap, but you get what you pay 4.
I got mine threw a mate for $490 delivered. Though he said next time around it will be $570 as the first time it was shipped with some other guys order.

With regard to price, I guess it's all relative. Sure it may cost $500-600 when a relatively standard HD clutch may cost a third of the price... just spare a thought for 4wd owners who can fork out 2-3K on a clutch.

IMO, it's a bargain and mine has seen at least 30,000kms (and a lost of abuse) and there's still meat on it.

okay guys my car is once again off the road for another phase..
i got my new clutch from my mate who got it from his supplier: his best description of it is: some organic shit! lol..
this is the checklist of things to do on my car:

change head gasket - Cometic
change water pump
change all gaskets/seals
change timing belt n gears - toda belt n tomei cam gears
ARP head studs/272 APC cams/HKS valve springs
remove balance shaft
light porting

slightly larger turbo - evo 9 turbo with 20g wheel, may make a new exhaust manifold/dump/oil and water lines.
HKS coilovers from evo 6
2 piece vr4 drive shaft
LSD in gearbox - Ralliart

Don't ask how long this is gonna take, but I do have help this time round haha!
Well see how we go!
