Evo’s are great cars, especially the older ones in my opinion. Yes I know that about GTIR’s, very uncommon since there are still thousands of old wrx’s around. Do you recon your blue cordia still exists? It was in a very good nick back in a day. We had some good catch ups back in those days. |

That is so true, any turbo car that makes it to 300k is not bad. I knew they had weak gearboxes too. I once almost bought 1994 wrx. Yes so true, It was like yesterday you came to my place to get that radiator hehe My oldest one is in high school now… As you can see , we still didn’t move on from cordias hehe |

Nice Travis, is that old Nashstyle cordia by any chance? I thought you might have his old car? I like how that intercooler is positioned. How's the engine coming along? What are you doing to it? |

no thats another Cordia IVe bought, I also have Nashstyles one, and the Stock AB still in storage unstarted after 20 years, I also got a VR4 galant E39A stocky aswell Im going to change the Cooler setup, but hidden behind abit better to the motor I have to do the balance shaft removal kit, and inspect all the internal parts, I was thinking of looking for another oil pump for it also, its got a cracked exhaust manifold which I will replace, plus it also has a Tial gate and a TC06 which I might change to a TD05 turbo for quicker reaction times, its got a cam already but not sure what it is, so a adjustable cam gear and new seals and gaskets will be added |

Nice, I remember that car had 4g63 sohc before he sold it. Not many of those old OG car's left around I must say that I always liked old tco6s on high boost, leggy but when it kicks in it goes like hell. You had a smaller turbo on your old blue one too I remember. Keep us posted. |

yeah I blew up the 4g63 with some e85 and tried to beat the old power to the wheels which was 110kw , I got it to 127kw with no cooler and only 17psi, but yeah not a fan of the 63 in a Cordia, Im 4g62 all the way, My Evo and GSR has 4g63s someone keeps killing the OG cars they are ok on high boost, but too laggy for me yeah I prefer the mid size, so bigger than a TC05, close to the power of the TC06, but alot less lag and full boost in first gear |

Haha that is true, I am definitely responsible for Wizard’s and Pete’s old cordia. How’s the paint on Nashstyle one? I remember even back then it needed a respray. That is an interesting comment you mad about the engines. I have spare evo engine that I could use and I also have the 4g62. Yes 4g63 will make more power all day long but it’s been done so much before that I am on your side. Overpowering the fwd is not always the best. Sometimes less is better and at least you can use it all. With an evo engine unless you modify everything else it will be just an overpowered , no traction in every gear. Another thing that I’ve noticed with vr4 engines is that to me 4g62 with a nice exhaust sounds way better. It has a bit more of that bubbling sound to it. Do you agree? Bitza once said to me that his old 4g62 had more legs top end then vr4. I believe that as I’ve been in 20 psi 4g62’s and they fly top end. |

yep nash's car had a full respray, its pretty clean, only small rust just under the right hand tail lamp, otherwise perfect yeah true with the power, I prefer less and more reliable these days, but more responce as always the 4G motors always sound good, they start to change note when you put larger cams, I have 280s in my evo II and it sounds totally different when reving it they love 20 psi on the 62 , really pulls hard in every gear |

That's nice, any photos of it? I think anything above 160-170 kw at the engine is an overkill for a cordia. Nicely done 4G62 could pump out those kw and you could actually use most of it on the road. You have to upgrade so many other things going above that power figure not to mention engineers certificate and the costs associated with that. |

I prefer about 100wkw, makes it reliable too you dont need a engineers certificate for 4g63 in a cordia, as its only 200cc larger, and was already a turbo version, you just need a letter from a workshop saying that the car has the emission standards as the updated car/engine you fitted , this is Vic only that I know of though |
