nothing wrong with old school acrylic as long as car gets to be garaged should last long time. vr4 looks good im jealous some people say 4g62 is just as strong as 4g63 i cant see how that's possible 4g63 is twin cam |

Thanks Fernando , Im Jealous of your Cordia, I cant wait to tidy it all up though , the VR4 is pretty strong, my friends GSR holds 280kw at the wheels on a stock bottom end, I'm hoping for 240 ish with that car but my old 4G62 Cordia , used to run up to 22psi on a TD05 14B , and I never had a issue , very strong also , plus the gearboxes are very good too, it was making 104kw at 12psi , never checked on 22 the GSR box or evo boxes dont like anything over 300wkw , they start to break 4th gear Ive painted outside in the past , I did my avatar Cordia like that , A garage would be nice though |

can i boost my 4g62 to 22 psi with the stock ecu? im curious cause my first turbo cordia was very fast and it was stock ecu. i bought in 1985 was AB model with only 20.000kms on clock but i been thinking i was around 18 or 19 years old very skinny i think i weigh 70kg possibly 75kg now im around 105kg damit im fat lol |

Yep, you need a boost cut defender wired to the MAP sensor.........clip it to 3.8 volt and wind up the boost!!!! This will also allow you to gain full boost in first gear........it's an excellent mod for more power. I would run an electronic boost controller just to be sure of increased boost levels, don't use a bleed valve. |

haha yes Im about 120kg now , I was 75kg back then too , I need less office time, more outside time you can , just upgrade the fuel system to suite , and get it checked or log it with a afr gauge , so you dont blow it up , they say you can safttly put the boost up 6psi over stock on these early cars you will need to also cut the yellow fuel cut wire I would kill to see that AB with 20k on the clock |

S1VART wrote: you will need to also cut the yellow fuel cut wire That's where the defender wires in Travis, if you just "cut" it the computer will throw a code and the boost gauge won't work. The cordia fuel system is bigger than you think, I ran 30 psi plus on mine without "bigger" injectors........yes it was an AB model running without the AFM, thing was nuts! |
