I'm hoping that you're budgetting for an LSD, coz you're gonna need it. Plus it'll handle way better...
You might need to rotate the front compressor cover on the turbo...

Patience definitely is a virtue mate, so true...I like to use the quote, "Do it once...Do it right!" And for now i know it's almost insane but no LSD...Don't worry though down the track one will be installed along with a rebuilt gearbox. And like Jon posted before, motor was just assembled to check all things line up etc, compressor cover will be rotated so that the cooler lines flow underneath instead of over the top of the exhaust manifold.

Yea chose to swap it over to the N/A intake manifold, part of this was due to the better flow achieved over the cyclone mani, it also make it a little easier with running the vacume lines.

Ahh do they outflow the cyclones? Didn't know that. Can't wait to see the dyno figures when it's done!!

Sorry for the lack of an update guys, been quiet the last few weeks, not too much has happened...a couple of quick pics of the motor before it goes hopefully this week or the next, just waiting on the injectors to arrive and some other small parts...I've got a few small things to fab up and get ready in the meantime but should have some more pics to come once the motor is in...enjoy for now :)

Yea thanks mate, very very happy with it...I was originally going to go for one of the enlarged evo 3 items, however after having looked into this one I realized I could get it for the same price including getting it shipped here from the US.

Progress... :D Motor went in last weekend, very very happy with what Jon has managed to do for me...I know it would have been a pain in the ass to get that motor in with all the solid mounts but loving the results, looks amazing in there...gearbox shouldn't be too far off going in, got plenty of work with all the lines, wiring, hoses etc to come...

Here's a couple more pics to wet your appetite lads...more to come...

This looks really good - I like a clean and subtle look (except for the purple timing belt) :)

Water lines, heater hoses, oil lines and fuel lines should all be done by Wed.

What throttle body are you running with that n/a intake?

Cheers mate, yea very happy :) From memory i reakon it was a little over $300 Aus inc shipping. I can double check that for you, i purchased it from extremepsi.com in the states.

Haha thanks mate, the belt matches the cam gears, wanted to keep it all hks...I wanted to go for that clean style, nothing over the top, just quality parts that look good on their own.

I don't reakon i'll ever be finished with this car...everytime i look at it i have another idea i'd like to try...Once the motor is back in ill be looking into going 5stud, widening the body, and changing the gearbox...it's a never ending story!

newy vr4 wrote:

It's the original cyclone intake throttle body mate.

i know what you mean, I want to wide body mine now , maybe run 235 to 245s all round , I have been looking at the 5 stud also , I think the TR TS KR KS front hubs will be fine , but the rear puzzles me as I have looked to hard at it yet
